Total Joint Program
Are you wondering where you will go for your physical therapy after your total hip replacement or total knee replacement? Do you want the same person to work with you throughout your entire rehab? Do you want to be the only patient your therapist works with during your appointment? Do you want to entrust your new joint to an expert in orthopaedic physical therapy?
If you answered yes to the above questions then TOTAL ATTENTION at Ryndak Physical Therapy is where you want to have your physical therapy. You can go where YOU choose for physical therapy! At Ryndak Physical Therapy you will be the only patient your therapist works with during your appointment. The same physical therapist who evaluates you on your first day will be the same therapist you have for your entire rehabilitation. (except for vacation coverage) We recommend that you come in to see our facility prior to your total knee replacement or total hip replacement operation. Our facility has ample parking and is ground level so there are no stairs or elevators to worry about. The facility is comfortable and not crowded.
At Ryndak Physical Therapy expect to be treated as if you are the most important person during your appointment. We understand you have got a life to get back to so give us twelve weeks and our experts will give you our TOTAL ATTENTION.
Sports Medicine
Athletes and their parents often worry about having a physical therapist who is knowledgeable about their injury, sport, and fear. We use our knowledge, persistence, and humor to not let an injury ruin an athlete's dream. That way the athlete and parent are free from the worry that their unique needs won't be understood. They can be confident that we have their best interest at heart so, ultimately, the athlete and parent will have the confidence to "get back to it!"
Athletes from grade school through college have unique sports physical therapy needs. They are growing and their growth plates are uniquely susceptible to injury. We are dedicated to being familiar with the latest research in pediatric sports injury rehab. We work with athletes from a very wide array of sports but we especially work with athletes from "individual" sports. A safe return to play is the objective.
Orthopaedics
When you have had a work injury, car accident, shoulder or knee surgery you wonder: "how long will I be out of commission, will my therapist know what they're doing, and will I ever be the same?" Often there can be fear, frustration, nervousness, and anticipation.
Our physical therapists use their ever growing expertise, passion, persistence, and sense of humor to understand your expectations and requirements for getting back to your life. We use many evaluation and treatment techniques in an attempt to identify, treat, and prevent dysfunction. Our physical therapists utilize a problem solving approach to your condition. Functional exercises, manual therapy, and home exercise programs are essential components to your successful physiotherapy.
You can have confidence that we know the latest treatment techniques and protocols, that we have your best interest in mind, and that your unique needs will be heard.
Diabetic Exercise
Have you recently been diagnosed with metabolic syndrome or type II diabetes? Has exercise been recommended to you by your physician? Do you feel overwhelmed by the exercise advice available to you? Is your exercise program controlling your glucose levels? Do you know what exercises to do and how much? Do you wish you had one person to turn to who understands the medical issues surrounding diabetes and exercise? Long term exercise can be effective in controlling glucose levels in type II diabetic patients. So why isn't your diabetes controlled?
TAKING CHARGE is a one on one physical therapy exercise training program in a safe, medically supervised atmosphere. We aim to partner with you for as long as you need to. For twelve weeks, you come to our clinic for medically supervised exercise including cardiovascular, strength training, core strengthening, and flexibility work. You will learn how long to exercise, what types of exercise to do, at what intensity, how to progress your exercise, and how to adjust your routine based on your glucose reading. After twelve weeks, we encourage you to keep a journal to enter your exercise, glucose, heart rate, and other information as you take what you learned and apply it on your own. Twice a year we will meet in person to review your data, progress, and make adjustments to your training. This is serious exercise for the seriously motivated diabetic.
Here's how to start. Talk to your physician and ask for a referral to physical therapy for medical exercise for your diabetes. Then contact us for your first appointment.
