Figure Skaters
The purpose of our off - ice training program is to decrease the risk of injury and improve performance of ice skaters.  We utilize periodization of training and careful application of current strength and conditioning principles.  We strive to create a motivating atmosphere.  With limited class sizes and individual training available we are focused on correct and safe technique of all exercises.  Our individual training features the OFF ICE EDGE and the VERTIMAX.

Building Champions Series                                         


These 7 week small group off - ice training sessions meet twice a week for an hour.  Workouts are based on the particular season the skaters are in and involve upper and lower body strengthening, plyometric and non plyometric jump work, aerobic and anaerobic conditioning, agility, balance, and power work.

Session times: 
    Twice a week option: Mondays 5:30PM to 6:30PM and Saturdays 11:30AM to 12:30PM
    Once a week option: Saturdays 1:00pm to 2:00pm 
    (Additional sessions will be formed as needed)

Cost: 
    $294 prepaid by first class.  
    Weekly price =$50 paid by the first class meeting of the week
    SATURDAY ONLY = $161 pre-paid or per Saturday price = $25

****Summer 2012 Training****             


MAX LIFT!
Description:  For those skaters looking for the opportunity for regular off - ice summer training.  Sessions will start in June and run through August.   FOR 2012: This summer is an 10 week program that will begin June 10 and run through August 18th and meets Monday and Wednesdays from 3:00pm to 3:55pm.  There is a five student maximum.  Class will include work on core strength, upper and lower body strength, plyometrics, quickness, anaerobic conditioning, flexibility, and power.

OFF - ICE 101
This is class is offered periodically in the fall and spring.  This is a one hour class that meets one time.  It is intended for young skaters who are just beginning to compete.  The purpose of this class is to introduce the young skater and their parent to the principles of off - ice training such as safety, warm - ups, stretching, and cool downs.  Skaters will participate in learning a proper warm up that they will do prior to skating and prior to doing their off - ice training.  Skaters will also learn a basic off - ice program that they can do at home or at the rink.  Contact 630-295-9990 to find out when the next class meets!!

PRIVATE INSTRUCTION

TEST ME

The purpose of the hour long off - ice assessment is to give the skater feedback on areas that need to be worked on with off - ice training.  Posture, flexibility, strength, power, balance, and height are all assessed.  Skaters who are not registered for classes are emailed a chart on identified areas needing improvement and a specific activity to address those areas.  
Cost= $100

OFF - ICE

One at a time private off - ice training
Description:  One hour private strength and conditioning session for the serious figure skater.
Cost: $85

OFF - ICE ADVANCED

Individualized off - ice training

Description:  One assessment and eleven, one hour long sessions of one on one training that can include strength and conditioning, core, flexibility, cardio, agility, balance, plyometrics, the Off Ice Edge, and Vertimax work.  Assessments are completed before beginning the strength and conditioning sessions.  All skaters signing up for the first time also receive a "fit kit."  Skaters also have the opportunity to purchase additional Vertimax or strength and conditioning blocks at a discount.
Cost: $971 (10% savings).  Each 12 session block is valid for 3 months. 

OFF - ICE ELITE

This program is intended for the dedicated skater who wants expert, one on one off - ice training for the entire year long season.  A year long periodization schedule is followed and customized for the skater based on assessment results.  This program includes 4 assessments, 92 one on one, hour long sessions that can include strength/conditioning/Off Ice Edge/Vertimax, "fit kit" and year long plan with home program instructions.
Cost: $7,025 (15% savings) and is valid for one year.
